Term 1 Reflection

Term 1 was a fun term. Evey thing went well i settled in perfectly no problem. I learnt about this school the values how and how it runs. Class time was a real challenge trying to sit next to the right people eventually sitting by my self wich is not to bad it means less distractions and more work to be done. I also learnt allot on basic learning like maths, literacy, writting and reading. Learning was the key word for this term. I think that the more I took in this term the easier its gonna be throughout the year. I think i picked up more of class learning then anything else eventhough it was a bit rough to settle in getting to no the year eights and sevens.

I thought that it was going to be terrible settling in I thought that the teacher was going to be grumpy I thought the kids were gonna be bullys but its the exact opposite nice students funny teachers and cool Principal. Our class just recently went on camp and it was the coolest camp ive ever been on education exercise and many more fun things.

We also do this thing called techarts wich is a educational learning process that involves fun. At the start of the year we did music. For music we got taught how to read simple music notes learn about differnt composers and study how music has changed from the primitive ages and the modern ages. We also got to group up with some people and create many dance sequences to create a full dance that went for two minutes.

After dance had finished we had moved on to art wich we are currently so far we have made a full cley design that involved maori culture and lots of koru patterns but many more projects to go over.

Overall i have settled into TeAwamutu Intermediate really well i have made lots of new friends and have developed many new learning attributes.

Wellington Experience

In week 8 our class had gone to wellington. We left on sunday and arrived at camp around 8 hours later. We then proceeded to have dinner. Every day we had to get up around 6:50 Am not as bad as you think atleast if you want a decent breakfast and not just toast. First come first serve the rule was.
One of our first adventures we went to Zelandia. Zelandia was very fun we learnt a lot about Newzealands history and discoverd many birds. The guides then showed us a short film of the Maoris arriving in NewZealand what they did and how it changed our environment. We also saw Takahe and walked across a dam overall it was a really fun experience. But my favourite of all was snorkling. It was pretty fun but the wet suits were really tight my whole body was like a rubber band every time i lifted my arm it would spring back into a locked position. We were all paired up with a partner and a parent. I saw a school of fish 5 blue Moki and I also spotted a octopus. We also went to the zoo wich was a pretty fun i saw lots of animals lions, bears, monkeys, lemurs and cheetas. But my favourite animal was the sun bear he was not interactive but he looked very cool and stared at us for a solid 2 minutes like he wanted to do a staring contest. But overall it was a fun educational trip. If i had the chance to do it again 100% I would and if you have the option you need to try it.
